MANILA, Philippines  – President Rodrigo Duterte continued to get “very good” or +56 net satisfaction rating despite a slight decline, according to the 2018 first quarter survey by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).

In a survey conducted from March 23-27 to 1,200 respondents, the SWS found 70 percent of adult Filipinos were satisfied with Duterte’s performance, while 17% were undecided and 14% dissatisfied.

According to SWS, this gives a net satisfaction rating of +56 classified as “very good” or two points below +58 recorded in the last quarter of 2017.

It added the two-point decline “was due to declines of 11 points in Balance Luzon and 1 point in Metro Manila”.

Duterte has earned a 12-point increase from +53 percent in December 2017 to +65 percent in March this year and a two-point improvement in Mindanao.

The SWS said the President still has “excellent” net satisfaction rating at +82 percent in Mindanao while it fell by one grade from very good to good at +39 in Balance Luzon although it stayed very good in Metro Manila.

Duterte has also earned “very good” net satisfaction rating at +56 in both urban and rural areas.

The survey also showed that the President scored a “very good” rating at +69 “in all educational levels”.

Duterte’s net satisfaction rating was at +64 three months after he assumed office in June 2016. -PNA
