Duterte off to South Korea in June

DAVAO CITY (May 27) — President Rodrigo R. Duterte will be making his first official state visit to South Korea from June 3 to 5.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque on Saturday confirmed the trip  –is a traditional visit.

The Office of the President of South Korea earlier announced Duterte’s visit to their country.

Duterte is expected to meet with his counterpart, South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said  the President is also looking forward to meeting Filipino workers in South Korea.

“Well, it’s part of the custom, and the President also wants to ensure the welfare of our workers in Korea,” Roque said.-NewsLine.ph
