Duterte’s former Cenro chief runs for Mayor in Sarangani town

DAVAO CITY (April 24) —Jocelyn Zamoro Espina, the former chief of City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) of then Mayor, now President Rodrigo Duterte is running for mayor in her hometown in Maasim, Saranggani Province.

Espina, a chemical engineer by profession, used to be a teacher but was later appointed by Duterte as the chief of CENRO.

She is running under Partido Federal ng Pilipinas.

Espina was one of the proponents of the city’s solid waste management program manual.

“For 27 years, I worked in the city government of Davao. It’s time to share my talents, knowledge and connections in administering a locality,” Espina stressed.

Espina is the niece of Maasin’s first appointed municipal Mayor Felipe Dy Uy, his father Gregorio Zamoro also served as municipal mayor of the town.-Newsline.ph
