DIGOS CITY — Still unidentified assailants gunned down an Egyptian national at about 1:20 a.m. here Monday.

Haitian Ramadan Hamed Abdelrady, 31, a resident of Barangay Zone 1, Digos City, sustained multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of the body during the attack along Jumaoas Street.

Police Staff Sgt. Earl Cryz Guarino, the officer-on-case, said the victim and his live-in partner were heading to their residence on a motorbike when one of two unidentified men on another motorcycle fired at them.

The couple tried to run for their lives in separate directions, police said, but one of the suspects chased Abdelrady and fired three more shots, hitting him in different parts of the body that caused his instantaneous death.

Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) personnel failed to find any spent bullet shell at the crime scene.

The Egyptian national was operating a videoke bar in the same area.

Police investigation showed that some two weeks ago, Abdelrady filed charges against one of his videoke helpers, alleging that he stole PHP60,000 in cash. -PNA
