KIDAPAWAN CITY – Well-known motocross rider Boyet Lu was tragically shot to death on the morning of February 16, 2025, in Sitio Dunggo, Barangay Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
According to reports from the DOS Municipal Police Station, the victim was riding a trail motorcycle with fellow riders when an unknown gunman opened fire on him. Lu was shot in the head, and his friends noted that the area has long been part of their usual trail route.
Police are actively investigating the motive behind the killing, while various motocross enthusiast groups have condemned the act. The victim’s family and friends are calling for justice and hoping that those responsible will be held accountable.
