Farmer ambushed in Basilan

COTABATO CITY — A farmer was ambushed in Lamitan City, Basilan province on Saturday.

Police Colonel Arlan Delumpines, police chief of Lamitan, identified the victim as Wahid Jalal, 26 years old and a resident of said city. Jalal died on the spot as bullets hit his head.

Delumpines revealed that the ambush was led by a certain Nulhin Arabin in a place in Sitio Sabana in Barangay Bohe Bessey,

Police reports said some witnesses pointed to Arabin as the one responsible for the ambush.

According to the investigators of the Lamitan City police, Arabin had a serious dispute with their murdered Jalal.
