Fil-Am abducted in Zamboanga del Norte

DAVAO CITY — Suspected armed men allegedly abducted a Filipino-American in Barangay Tapayanan, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte at around 6 o’clock in the afternoon, Wednesday, September 15.

A report from Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Police Office identified the victim as Rex Triplet, 64, married, Filipino-American, and a resident of Barangay Piacan, Sirawai.

The report added that the victim and his wife Celsa Maani Triplet, 23 years old, were on their way home on board a black XRM motorbike, however, upon reaching Barangay Tapayanan, four men wearing camouflage and armed with M203 and short firearms forcibly took the victims.

During the commotion, the wife has managed to escape and immediately reported the incident to the officials of Barangay Tapanayan.

The same report, it stated that PLT Roy Malayo immediately proceeded to the area and ordered a hot pursuit operation to possibly apprehend the suspects.-Newsline.ph
