DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The country remains proud of Miss Philippines Rachel Peters as she made it to the top 10 Miss Universe held at the Axis Theater in Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday.
Peters was among the last names to be called for the top 10 slot of the pageant.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque was happy to note “I’m so happy that she made it to the top 15 and we wish her the best.”
Roque added “Wala na namang duda, ang Pilipino talaga ang pinakamaganda sa daigdig na ito, kasama na rin ang mga kalalakihan (There’s no doubt, Filipina are the most beautiful in this world, including the men)
Out of 92 women from across the globe, Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was crowned as the next Miss Universe 2017.
The Philippines’ own Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzach was among the judges in this year’s competition. -EZC/Newsline.ph
