Fire destroys P330K worth of coffee beans

DAVAO CITY — Some P330,000 worth of coffee beans were destroyed when a fire broke out at a factory on Santolan Street in Toril, Davao City, on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident was reported by 65-year-old coffee grinding machine operator Elisio Angoy, prompting an immediate response from the Toril Fire Station.

One employee sustained injuries during the fire, which was declared under control at 3:45 PM.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
