Fire gutted Ex-mayor’s ancestral home in Lanao

ILIGAN CITY —A fire of still unknown origin razed to the ground the 44-year-old ancestral house of former Bubong, Lanao del Sur Mayor, Haji Ali Munder, on Monday November 4 in Barangay Muntian, Bubong, Lanao de Sur.

Senior Fire Officer 3 (SFO3) Zailon Sarip, chief of Bureau of Fire Protection, Lanao del Sur, said the fire broke off at about 3:46 p.m in one of the rooms located at the second storey of the house, which rapidly spread and eventually eaten up the while structure.

Majority of the house partition was made of hard rogan wood, built in 1975.
