KORONADAL CITY, Philippines — Finally, a P36-million building will soon rise here to house the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Koronadal, it is a dream come true.
Elaine Ferolino, officer-in-charge regional chief administrative officer of DTI described the two-storey building as “Customer and People friendly.”
The DTI Koronadal rents a building for years now.
The DTI center will sit in the 1,364 square meter property donated by the city government in Barangay Carpenter Hill, approximately 8-km away from the heart of the city. This village houses many regional government agencies for Central Mindanao.
The edifice will be constructed beside the office of the Department of Education and the Commission on Higher Education.
The realization of the DTI center was made possible after city government of Koronadal and the DTI perfected the “memorandum of agreement” and “deed of donation” which is renewable every year.

Central Mindanao-DTI regional director Ibrahim Guiamadel thanked Mayor Peter Miguel for the donation.
“It has lactation room for newly-born babies, a clinic and an elevated ramp hallways for our PWDs clients. All located in ground floor of the proposed new building,” Ferolino said.
Ferolino said it’s in compliance with the policies issued by the Department of Health (DOH) and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
“We can now have our own building after several years of renting here. It would be a saving part on the government side, the construction of the DTI center is a dream come true.” she said.-Ramil H. Bajo/Newsline.ph
