DIGOS CITY – Davao del Sur provincial Governor Douglas Cagas is in stable condition, says Dr. Frimm Salla Cagas-Baña on Saturday, June 4, 2021.

Baña was reacting to social media report that his uncle is dead.

The family of Davao del Sur Governor Douglas Ra. Cagas vehemently denied reports circulating on social media portals and some news portals about the death of the top provincial official on Friday morning.

Davao del Sur Vice Governor Marc Douglas Chan-Cagas in the official Facebook page of the province asked the Lord Almighty to heal his father so that he could continue his mission of serving the people.

It can be recalled that the entire province was shaken when a sister company of television giant posted Friday morning that Cagas is dead.

Cagas is still confined at a local hospital here and is recovering. He had his Covid-19 vaccine jab a week ago.

On Friday, capitol employees and followers of the governor were seen coming into the perimeter of the hospital to show their gesture of support for his fast recovery.-Eldie Aguirre
