MANILA (July 26) – The southwest monsoon (Habagat) will continue to bring rains over parts of Luzon and Visayas on Sunday, while Typhoon Noul (formerly Kiyapo) continues moving farther away from the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), according to PAGASA.

As of the latest advisory, Noul was located 745 kilometers west-northwest of Itbayat, Batanes, with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph and gusts of up to 195 kph. PAGASA said the typhoon is no longer directly affecting the country.

However, Pangasinan and Zambales may experience occasional rains due to the Habagat, with possible flash floods and landslides. Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the provinces of Aklan and Antique are also expected to have scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized weather conditions. Moderate to slight coastal conditions are expected nationwide.
