Hundreds stranded as 8 more domestic flights cancelled due to bad weather

DAVAO CITY (June 14) —   Hundreds of passengers are now stranded in various airports, as  eight domestic flights were cancelled as of Thursday afternoon due to bad weather condition.

The advisory from the  Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) stated that flights are cancelled in the following destinations:

  • CebGo (DG) 6009/6010, 6151/6152 Manila-Basco-Manila
  • PAL Express (2P) 2196/2197 Manila-Laoag-Manila
  • Skyjet (M8) 818/819 Manila-Basco-Manila

On Wednesday, a total of eight domestic flights were also cancelled due to bad weather, based on MIAA’s records.

The state weather bureau, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), earlier said the southwest monsoon is affecting Luzon.

Monsoon rains may also prevail over parts of Luzon, including Batanes, based on PAGASA’s forecast.-NewsLine.ph
