DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Lose weight and get richer by P20,000.
This is the newest challenge to the top three local government offices who will reach the target weight loss by December this year.
Mayor Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio announced Wednesday, October 4, 2017,she will give P20,000 cash incentives to the top three offices that will reach 100 pounds weight loss each office.
The city government envisioned to join the one Million pounds weight loss challenge to advocate healthy lifestyle for the city employees.
The weight loss incentive program, according to Duterte-Caprio is part of the FitFil Weight Loss Challenge wherein the the city commits to contribute 12,010 pound weight loss.
The mayor said that she is also inviting all the barangays and other national government offices to join the weight loss challenge.
She hopes that the campaign will encourage city employees and residentsto make a healthy lifestyle by having the right weight.
“There are deaths that are preventable if the people have a healthy lifestyle and have a right weight also,” she emphasized.
Duterte-Carpio said that the people can save money from buying maintenance medicines because they do not need that if they are healthy.-Armando B. Fenequito Jr./Newsline.ph
