DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Filipinos should expect more infrastructure projects out of the $9 billion pledge from the Japanese government.
The pouring of fund is part of the success of President Rodrigo Duterte second visit to Japan.
With the fresh fund, Duterte’s Build, Build Build program thrives.
The support form the Japanese government does not only mean infrastructure development but it will also generate local employment in areas of implemention which will redound to increased economic movement in the locality.
Duterte’s three-day visit to Japan also sealed business agreements with industry leaders valued at $6 billion.
The visit, according to Duterte was a very productive.
Mr. Duterte committed to give flesh to Japan’s special assistance program, to ensure that projects have to proceed soonest and it will be “Done, Done, Done.”
Japan’s support will give flesh to the social infrastructure program of the Philippine government.
Th Build, Build, Build program is the centerpiece of Duterte administration.
Social infrastructure, according to Duterte is needed as the country thrives to equally develop many areas of the Philippines which was not given due support by the past administration.
In the past, Philippine Presidents concentrated their projects in respective areas of origin and only a little were given to Mindanao and and Visayas as most of the leaders from fLuzon and National Capital Region (NCR).
