Jolo twin bombings: death toll now 20, 111 wounded

DAVAO CITY (January 28) — The number of casualties in the twin bombings in Jolo, Sulu yesterday  morning has increased to 20 while number of casualties ballooned to 111.

The police  provincial command of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PNP/ARMM) in an advisory issued ay 6:00 last night  supplied the following information:

As per hospital records; IPHO-Sulu; Wounded – 55:  Dead – 13;  Sulu Sanitarium Hosp; Wounded – 11 Dead;  JTF Trauma Hosp; Wounded – 45 Dead – 7.

Of the 20 casualties:  5 military; 1 coast guard and 14 are civilians.

Of the 111 Wounded:  AFP- 17, PNP- 2, PCG- 2 and, 90 civilians.

The police provincial command said the number of casualties increased as many directly went to the hospital for confinement which were later accounted during the actual hospital head count.-NewsLine.ph
