Kidapawan City on community quarantine

KIDAPAWAN CITY – The city government is fully implementing a community quarantine to prevent and contain the spread of the coronavirus-19 (COVID-19),

Mayor Joseph Evangelista issued Executive order 025 series of 2020 placing Kidapawan City under Community Quarantine and providing for enforcement mechanisms due to COVID19 threat.

Starting Wednesday, March 18, City Health Office personnel along with police and military personnel established checkpoints and monitored all entry points to the city.

Thermal scanners were all over, to ensure those who enter the the city do not have fever nor manifest symptoms of COVID-19.

Passengers are requested to disembark but social distancing was observed, everyone undergoes thermal scan wile tricycles, the city’s -major mode of inter-barangay transport were disinfected.

Everyone who passed the checkpoint were asked to wash their hands, sanitizers and alcohol were provided.

Public utility jeepneys and all mode of public transport were not allowed to unload passengers anywhere, they must drop passengers only at the designated areas or at the public terminal.
