Koronadal PWDO chief killed in car accident

DAVAO CITY — An architect in Koronadal City who also served as chief of the city’s Person with Disabilities Office was killed in an accident on Saturday, October 10, along the national highway, Barangay Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City.

Romanito Octaviano, an architect who was appointed PWDO chief was declared dead upon arrival at the Dr. Arturo P. Pingoy Medical Center after his service pick-up rammed on a wing van around 2:00 pm Saturday.

Octaviano was heading towards Upi town when the accident happened.

In a report by Brigada News Fm Koronadal, Rey Avila, Executive Assistant to the Mayor on External Affairs revealed that Octaviano’s in-law claimed that the airbag of the vehicle malfunctioned.

The victim allegedly overtook a sedan but lost control over the vehicle and hit a delivery van that was from the opposite direction.-Newsline.ph
