Lady cop, a soldier caught selling firearms

DAVAO CITY ––A lady police officer and a soldier on active duty were arrested on Saturday by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in the entrapment operation in Barangay Tubon, Pigcawayan, Cotabato province.

CIDG BARMM Regional Director Lt. Col. Ariel Huesca identified the law enforcers as Patrolwoman Irish Emoy and Army Corporal Jaafar Sabturaon, 33-years-old, they are lovers

Huesca revealed that the two were involved in the sale of firearms, was caught in entrapment operations.

Emoy is assigned to the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Section RPHAS of the Police Regional Office 12 while Sabturaon, 33-years-old, assigned to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division.

The two are involved in the sale of arms and ammunition.

Operatives recovered a 5.56 mm, caliber .45 pistol, two magazines and bullets, the P119,000.00 boodle money used in the transaction and two Honda CRF 150 Motorcycles owned by the two were also recovered.

The two are now detained at the CIDG BARMM office and will be charged for violating RA 10591 or unlawful sale of firearms and ammunition.
