Magnitude 6.1 quake jolts Mindanao areas

DAVAO CITY — For quick seconds, residents in many parts of Mindanao felt the magnitude 6.1 earthquake at 6:44 tonight.

The PHILVOCS reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was iin New Bataan, Davao de Oro.

Many residents in Davao de Oro got out of their houses and went to safer ground while stocks in a grocery store were in a mess.

Davao City residents felt the magnitude 3.1 quake.

The quake was also felt in Bukidnon, North Cotabato, Davao del Norte and in Davao Oriental.
