DAVAO CITY — The parents of the two young children who were brutally killed by their minor house companion decried the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Mlang , North Cotabato for allowing the minor suspect to go online via social media despite being the prime suspect of the crime.

On Sunday, Mrs. Lovella Maguad took the social media to denounce what she described as preferential treatment accorded to the self-confessed minor, “When dealing with the suspects and victims who are both minors. I saw how they handle with care and protection the suspects leaving my innocent kids alone (inside their coffins)- who didn’t savor the privilege of their rights.”

With broken heart emotions on her Facebook, Lovella said “Victims are always victims unless there would be the bravest hearts and impartial sound mind to fight for justice. This is the ugliest incident that happened during the celebration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Anniversary.”

Despite the recent meeting with the mother of the prime suspect in the killings of their children Crizzle Gwynn, 18, and Crizvlle Louis, 18 the Maguad Cruz and Lovella still long for justice as they await the unmasking of the brain behind the brutal death of their children.

Lovella in a Facebook post said they are expecting to receive the copies of the suspects’ judicial affidavits “illustrating how these two minors brutally killed my two innocent children with discernment perhaps any day from tomorrow.”

She manifested that one of the suspects (referring to Kristine) has been in and out of the DSWD “Received psycho-social interventions and taken care of by them in more or less 8 years while the other is a sacristan who has been serving the church.”

She said she is praying that the proponent of the Juvenile justice law “And its supporters, the law itself, rights advocates, politicians who (are) always backing up complaints on disciplinary measures given to children wrongdoings in school and in the community to open their eyes to realities. “

Until now, Lovella cannot muster the courage to see the photographs of her children because she said “I am not sure if we could bear to read or to listen to these two minors suspected murderers’ affidavits. “

The Maguad couple rally for Prayer as their quest for justice is still doomed.

The Maguad siblings were killed inside their house in Purok San Isidro, Mlang North Cotabato on December 10, 2021. Their working student who is a minor has admitted to doing the crime because of envy, jealousy, and anger.

Kristine’s mother went to the DSWD in Mlang but was given cold shoulder by the agency itself.-Editha Z. Caduaya
