Man facing statutory rape surrenders

DAVAO CITY—A suspect who is facing three counts of Statutory Rape surrendered before the General Santos City police on Saturday, April 6.

Police Brigadier General Percival Augustus P Placer, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 12 identified the suspect as alias “Kuya Alec” 23 years old, young man and resident of said area. Kuya ‘Alec’ is considered as most wanted person on a station level.

Placer revealed at around 7:30 in the morning on Saturday, the suspect voluntarily went to the police station to surrender himself.

He is facing three (3) counts of statutory rape with no recommended bail.

Placer said the PNP-12 is following the directive of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to adopt the Whole-of-the-Nation Approach, he urged other wanted persons in the region to surrender peacefully and face their legal responsibilities.
