DAVAO CITY-— The manhunt operation and the negotiation for fugitive television preacher Apollo Quiboloy is ongoing with only six days left, said National Bureau of Investigation XI director Archie Albao on Sunday.

Lawyer Archie Albao told Newsline “While the warrant of arrest is pending against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, the manhunt operation continuous on the hand the negotiation for his surrender is also continuing, it is nonstop ,the two go hand in hand, the surrender and the manhunt operation.”

Philippine National Police XI regional Director BrigGen. Alden Delvo told Newsline “Well everyone expects him to surrender and submit himself to the authorities. The PNP and NBI will not stop until he is arrested. That’s our job.”

Albao said the NBI and the PNP are working non-stop on Quiboloy’s case.

The NBI and the PNP will meet, according to Albao “To talk about this matter, so that our actions will be cohesive and in cooperation with each other.”

He revealed “Though the NBI and the PNP have separate tracking systems and arresting team, we work together in this case,” Albao added.

The negotiation for Quiboloy’s surrender has been going on since the warrant of arrest was out but until now, the fugitive leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ remains elusive.

Despite the negotiations still “Wala pa kaming nakukuha na answer niya, (We didn’t get an answer from him)” Albao stressed .

On Saturday, Quiboloy in a voice message laid down his rules for his surrender, one of which is for the Philippine government to guarantee that the United States government, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the US Embassy should not intervene and impose extradition while he faces the cases filed against him in the Philippines.

Quiboloy in a 33-minute audio recorded message claimed he is ready to face the charge but the government must give him the guarantee as he enumerated.

The fugitive church leader has been issued  warrant arrest by Davao Regional Trial Court (RTC) judge Dante Baguio for child and sexual abuse complaint.

While the Senate’s sergeant-at-arms office might arrive in Davao City in the next few days with a separate arrest order issued by the upper house of Congress.

Quiboloy needs to personally post a P280,000 bail before the Davao Court for the two cases for his temporary liberty.
