Marcos appoints PAO’s new deputy chief public attorney

DAVAO CITY –— President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has appointed lawyer Erwin Erfe as the new deputy chief public attorney of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), Malacañang announced Tuesday.

Communications Secretary Cheloy Garafil confirmed Erfe’s new appointment in a text message sent to Palace reporters on Tuesday night.

PAO chief Persida Ruesta-Acosta first announced Erfe’s promotion in an X post and shared his appointment papers.

Based on his appointment paper signed by Marcos on March 27, Erfe replaced former PAO deputy chief public attorney Silvestre Mosing.

Erfe served as director of PAO’s Forensic Laboratory Division before this appointment.
