MANILA (June 14) – Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. extended condolences to Thailand following the death of Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, the eldest daughter of King Maha Vajiralongkorn. She was 47.

In a statement, Marcos said the Philippines stands in solidarity with the Thai Royal Family and people, honoring the Princess’ legacy of public service and her advocacy for justice, human dignity, and women’s rights.

The Thai Royal Palace said the Princess passed away after nearly four years in a coma due to a heart condition following a medical emergency in 2022.

Known for her work in law, diplomacy, and criminal justice reform, she also served as a United Nations goodwill ambassador focused on the rule of law and women’s welfare.
