ILIGAN – Iligan Mayor Frederick Siao expressed his support for Ching Camelotes, the mother of Kiara Pansacala, a victim of a heinous crime that occurred on November 1, 2023, in Barangay Tibanga. Mayor Siao pledged to assist the authorities in bringing the perpetrator to justice.

In addition to offering a reward of 200 thousand pesos for information related to the crime, Mayor Siao also aided in the preparation of Pansacala’s remains, burial requirements, and any legal assistance needed for filing a case.

“As a father of the city and a fellow parent, we cannot accept what happened to Kiara, the brutal incident. We need to provide assistance and the justice the family seeks,” Mayor Siao stated.

Mayor Siao has instructed the police to intensify their efforts to solve the crime. According to Police Maj. Felix Rabago Jr., the Station Commander at Iligan City Police Station 5, they have identified a person of interest and are continuing to gather evidence through an autopsy of the victim and the suspect’s DNA found at the crime scene.
