Mindanao Solon pays special tribute to Covid-19 frontliners

OZAMIZ CITY—They are overworked but their dedication to save lives remain strong, this is  the reason Misamis Occidental Second District Representative Henry Oaminal tendered a special tribute to Coronavirus frontliners recently.

Oaminal who is also serving as Deputy Speaker for Mindanao said he witnessed the hard work the medical and non- medical frontliners of his district has shown to the community.

“As our nation continues to face the known and unknown challenges of Covid-19, our medical and non-medical frontliners remain one of our unwavering fortresses to combat this pandemic,” Oaminal said.

The congressman recently tendered special tribute to some 800 medical and non-medical frontliners inside the MHARS-Medical Center here when he made his yearly Pamaskong Handog rounds.

During the said actívity, Oaminal thanked the frontliners for their ‘invaluable contribution’ in protecting the welfare of Misamisnons and other residents from neighboring provinces from Covid-19 and other ailments.

The deputy speaker assured the frontliners he will continue supporting MHARS-MC in giving out its services at par with that of Manila and Cebu.

Oaminal added he principally authored House Bill 6730, bill that proposes to increase the hospital’s bed capacity from 500 to 1,000 and upgrade its professional health care services and facilities. The Bill is now in its third reading. -MICHAEL MEDINA
