Mother arrested for taking and selling sensual videos of her young children, kin

ILIGAN CITY (May 8) —- Police authorities here arrested on Thursday, May 2, a mother for taking and selling sensual videos of her three young children and a niece, inside her house .

The mother was arrested in the act of taking videos of the private parts of her children and her niece.

Police Captain Taha Tambog, chief police station 2, said the suspect was caught while she was doing the illegal act.

Tambog revealed, they received a report about the mother’s activity, a reason why an entrapment operation was conducted.

The police official said the mother was selling those video footages to her foreigner clients for almost a year now.

Authorities recovered mobile phones with stored sensual photos and videos.

“We were also able to recover the receipts of the money transfer,” Tambog said.

The children are now under the custody of the City Social Welfare and Development Office while the suspect is at the custody of ICPS 2.

The mother has been charged for violating Republic Act 10364 or Anti-Trafficking in Person, RA 7610 or Protection Against Child Abuse, RA 9775 or Crime of Child Pornography and RA 10175 or Cybercrime Prevention Act.

The joint entrapment and rescue operation was participated by the Philippine National Police-Women and Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) – Region 10 and its counterpart in Iligan City, the Iligan City Police Office-City Intelligence Detection and Management Branch and Iligan City Police Station (ICPS) 2, in coordination with the International Justice Mission (IJM).-Divina M.
