DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Maricel Agustin, the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) who was reported missing since 2014 is now safe and on her way home.
The Newsline.Ph reported her case to Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello II Monday night February 26.
This morning, February 27, 2018, Bello notified this news agency that Agustin was already located and on her way home.
A check with The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration(OWWA) Davao and the MMML recruitment agency revealed, Agustin is still in OWWA Pasay and will be flying to Davao City anytime after the documentation process is completed.
Agustin’s husband, Rogelio Padilla earlier reported her missing wife as she failed to contact her since late 2014.

Bello, citing POLO Kuwait report, stated that Agustin failed to communicate to her family because “She did not have a mobile phone.”
The POLO Kuwait in a report to Bello said that Maricel was among the repatriated OFW from Kuwait.
Citing the POLO Kuwait report, Bello in a message to Newsline.Ph stated “DW Maricel Viernes Agustiin- was repatriated last February 24, 2018 according to the FRA, when they saw the FB post they called the employer.”
Agustin’s husband Rogelio, was so happy when Newsline.ph informed him Maricel is safe and on her way home.
Rochelle Padilla, daughter of Agustin told Newsline.ph this morning “I missed my mother and I want to see her, we lost contact for four years.”
