KIDAPAWAN CITY – The provincial government of North Cotabato distributed on Wednesday assistance worth P8,290,000 to 829 victims of the 2019 earthquake in Barangay Ilomavis, this city.

The distribution was led by Governor Nancy Catamco in collaboration with the Provincial Treasury Office (PTO) and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).

Catamco said she was hoping the aid provided to the beneficiaries would be spent wisely even as they reminded them that any calamity that may come will easily be survived by working together.

Barangay Chairman Jimmy Mantawil expressed his deep gratitude to Catamco for the assistance. Meanwhile, Pastor Aligy Tongcaling, one of the beneficiaries, promised that he would use the money that he received in repairing his damaged house.  He also expressed his gratitude to the governor.
