One dead, 13 injured as another bomb exploded in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat

DAVAO CITY (September 3) — An improvised bomb exploded outside Prince Internet Cafe’fé along Valdez Street in Barangay Kalawag,   Isulan, Sultan Kudarat Sunday night September 2, which killed one and wounded 13 others.

Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Council (MRRC) chief Edwin Escleto identified the fatality as John Mark Luda, 19, a resident of purok Malingawon, Bagumbayan Sultan Kudarat.

Authorities  identified  the injured   victims as:

  1. Solis, Kyle, 14 (out patient)
  2. Luda, Marialyn,  (admitted in SK Provincial Hospital)
  3.  Leliza, Dave Bryan, 26  (admitted in SK Provincial Hospital)
  4.  Agac-ac, Reymark, 22  (admitted SKPH)
  5.  Letrero, Paul, 15 (out patient)
  6.  Letrero, Juan, Kalawag I, Isulan, SK
  7. Rosalie Pagulidan, 49 y.o
  8.  Rowe John Kinaso, Mapantig, SK
  9.  Ijean Allaga Pequerda, 36, Tayugo, SK
  10. Timothy John Pequerda, 5, Tayugo, SK
  11. Mocoy Gerson, 27 anyos, 1, Isulan, SK
  12. Joshua Sublingo, Kalawag I, Isulan, SK
  13.  Fred Casamayor Jr, 14 , Kalawag I, Isulan, SK

In a report Police Supt. Aldrin Gonzales. PRO-12 spokesperson, said most of the injured sustained leg injuries, were rushed to the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Hospital.

Police Scene of the Crime Operation investigators are now inspecting the blast site as of this posting, Gonzales added.

On August 28, three persons were killed while 36 others were injured when a bomb exploded at a row of Ukay-ukay (pre-loved clothes) stalls in Barangay Kalawag while the town was celebrating its foundation anniversary and Hamungaya festival.

Activities related to founding anniversary were immediately canceled following the blast.

Police recently released a computerized cartographic sketch of a bomb suspect in connection with the Aug. 28 incident but have yet to make an arrest.

Authorities here have warned the public to stay at home and remain calm. Gonzales also urged the public to refrain from posting unconfirmed reports in social media related to the Isulan incident.-NewsLine.ph with report from PNA
