DAVAO CITY — To symbolize the gold-rich province of Davao de Oro, outgoing Governor Tyrone Uy gifted incoming Governor Dorothy Gonzaga with a huge gold ring during the turn over ceremony on Thursday June 30, 2011 at Nabunturan National Comprehensive High School Gym.

Gonzaga was caught flat-footed when Uy, who is now serving as the Vice Governor, opened he wooden box on stage and offered her the ring which symbolizes the treasures of their province.
