P34-M shabu hauled in Lanao Sur drug raid

DAVAO CITY –— The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency seized 5 kilograms of illegal drugs worth P34,000,000.00 from a suspected peddler in a raid in Barangay Matalin, Malabang, Lanao del Sur on Monday afternoon.

Regional Director Cesario Gil Castro of PDEA in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao identified the suspect as Zacaria Jaji Nandang alias Dats, an adult from Bagua 2, Cotabato City.

Seized from Nandang were 5 large packets of shabu weighing 5 kilogram.

Authorities also confiscated P1-million bust money from the suspect.

Nandang is now under the custody of PDEA-BAMM while the agency is preparing charges violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The raid was a joint operation along with the PDEA Maguindanao, PDEA Lanao del Sur, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit-15, Police Regional Office of BARMM, Regional Highway Patrol Group, NBI, NICA and 3rd Scout Ranger Battalion.
