P68M shabu busted in Lanao del Sur, 4 suspects arrested

DAVAO CITY—Drug Enforcement Officers of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (BARMM) successfully seized P68-million worth of Shabu and arrested of four drug suspects during a buy-bust operation in Purok 5, Barangay Manila Group, Wao, Lanao del Sur, on April 12, 2024.

Apprehended during the negation operation were: Nawap Gundar Mohammad, also known as Aisa, 34 years old, male, and a resident of Brgy. Bantayao, Lumba-Bayabao, Lanao del Sur; Nursudin Bilao Bantak, also known as Odin; Mamak Barazar Solaiman, also known as Mamak; and, Mustapha Dipatuan Solaiman, also known as Ex. The trio are all residents of Marawi City.

PDEA operatives Confiscated and recovered the following evidence: one (1) piece open black aluminum foil bag with Chinese characters containing methamphetamine hydrochloride, also known as Shabu in a vacuum sealed transparent plastic bag, weighing more or less 1,000 grams with standard drug price of ₱6,800,000.00, buy-bust money, one (1) unit mobile phone, three (3) pieces leatherette wallets containing assorted identification cards, assorted paper bills amounting to four hundred fifty pesos and one (1) unit white Toyota Revo.

The apprehended suspects are now under the custody of the PDEA BARMM Jail Facility while awaiting inquest proceedings for violation of Republic Act 9165 as amended by Republic Act No. 10640, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The inter-agency efforts of the Law Enforcement Units from Police Drug Enforcement Group SOU-BARMM, 55th Infantry Battalion, 3rd SRB, Wao MPS, PDEU PSOG LDS, 3rd PLTN 1st PMFC, RHPU BAR and the Local Government Unit of Wao, LDS helped the success of this drug bust.
