DAVAO CITY — The father of a 3-year-old girl who was burned to death committed suicide Wednesday,  a month after he burned his daughter to death.

The father identified as Randy was accused of burning his daughter alive on March 18, and on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, he committed suicide  inside the detention cell of Sasa Police Station, police said.

Randy twice attempted to commit suicide while inside the detention cell.

Randy was facing parricide case before the court.

The father, who is a construction worker, was separated from his wife and was reportedly depressed.

Police suspect that the depression could have triggered the burning incident. -ezc/newsline.Ph
