PAGASA to establish weather station in Lamitan City

LAMITAN CITY —The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) will establish a weather station here.

On march 25, the City government represented by Mayor Roderick H. Furigay and City Administrator Maria Florencia Candelaria Bisal signed the memorandum of agreement (MOA) with PAGASA Administrator Vicente Malano and Chief Mindanao-PAGASA Anthony Joseph Lucero for the establishment of a weather office station in Lamitan City last week.

the MOA signing between the City Government of Lamitan and the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) sealed that deal for the construction of a weather station which will provide meteorological services in the city and to develop important innovations utilizing information and communication technology specially in weather forecasting and warning services.
