PBBM, Speaker Romualdez extend assistance to family of slain broadcaster Juan Jumalon

MANILA – In a personal gesture of support, Undersecretary Paul Gutierrez, the executive director of the Presidential Task Force on Media Safety (PTFoMS), handed over a check representing the financial aid provided by President BongBong Marcos to the family of the slain broadcaster Juan Jumalon, also known as Johny Walker. The check was delivered this morning at their residence in Calamba, Misamis Occidental.

Additionally, Usec Gutierrez presented a cash amount of ₱200,000, sent by House Speaker Martin Romualdez, to the Jumalon family. Both the President and Speaker Romualdez expressed their condolences for the tragic loss of Jumalon.

Gutierrez affirmed his commitment to ensuring that justice is served for the death of Johny Walker, emphasizing the task force’s dedication to addressing media safety concerns.
