PDEA BARMM dismantles drug den in Cotabato City; Five suspects arrested

DAVAO CITY  –  Five suspected drug dealers were arrested on Saturday, March 1, at Purok Ulandangan 2, Poblacion  Mother, Cotabato City

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Maguindanao Provincial Office, in coordination with the Maguindanao Maritime Police Station, City Mobile Force Company, and Cotabato City Public Safety Office, successfully dismantled a drug den and apprehended the suspects.

PDEA BARMM Regional Director Gil Cesario P. Castro identified the arrested individuals as: Alyas Datu/Pato, 42 years old, male,  – alleged drug den maintainer, Alyas Jay,  39 years old, male, Alyas Inday , 34 years old, female,   Alyas Burloloy (34 years old, male, single and Alyas Datu Raf 39 years old, male, married.

The suspects are currently detained at the PDEA BARMM Jail Facility while awaiting inquest proceedings for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Confiscated items during the operation include: Twenty-four (24) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, with a total estimated weight of 15 grams and a street value of approximately ₱102,000

Buy-bust money, Various drug paraphernalia, and two (2) mobile phones.

This successful operation highlights PDEA’s unwavering commitment to eliminating illegal drug activities in the city. Authorities urge the public to remain vigilant and report any drug-related activities to help foster safer communities.
