PDEA files charges vs 17 Davao de Oro partygoers

DAVAO CITY — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Monday filed charges against the 17 partygoers who were caught in a buy-bust operations in barangay Pindasan, Mabini, Davao de Oro on November 6.

Aileen Lovitos, PDEA XI director told newsline “We filed the cases against the 17 professionals yesterday in Nabunturan.”

Lovitos said “Only three turned out negative in the drug test”.

The 17 were arrested in a drug raid in a beach party in Baragay Pindasan, Mabini, Davao de Oro on November 6.

Partygoers however said, it was Revsan Ethelbert Papay Elizalde’s birthday’.

Lovitos revealed Elizalde was the subject of the buy-bust and has been under surveillance for months.

The PDEA together with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in coordination with the Mabini Police Station confiscated P1.5-million worth of assorted party drugs and Shabu during the raid.

Lovitos denied claims that the operatives maul the suspects “It was a public place, you can ask the people around, they were told to drop, and they drop on the sand.”
