PH observes 10-national days of mourning for ex-president Ramos

DAVAO CITY — The country is observing a ten-day nation mourning in honor of the late president Ferdinand Fidel V. Ramos death yesterday, July 31, 2022.

According to the Office of the Press Secretary, President Ferdinand R. Marcos declared July 31 to August 9, 2022 as national days of mourning.

The still unnumbered declaration states “I, Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and existing laws, do hereby declare 31 July 2022 to 09 August 2022 as a Period of National Mourning over the passing of former President Fidel V. Ramos.”

Ramos served as 8th President of the republic. Serving from June 30, 1992 to June 30, 1998.
