PhP 1.2M handed over to Former Rebels

DAVAO CITY –— Twenty one Former Rebels (21) received a total amount of  PhP1,265,000.00 from Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) as facilitated by the Davao Del Sur’s Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC)  during the Provincial Local Government Unit’s convocation on March 20, 2023 held at Provincial Coliseum, Digos City, Davao del Sur.

Nineteen of them received PhP65,000.00 Livelihood Assistance while two of them only qualified for a PhP15,000.00 Immediate Assistance. 

Prior to the receiving of assistance, the 19 beneficiaries undergone additional orientation, aside from the training they have undergone during the 3-month Tupad Pangako Program, a preparation and deradicalization intervention for their reintegration  to their respective communities and families. 

Alyas Jane, Former Medical, Guerilla Front 51 of the Southern Mindanao Regional Committee expressed her optimism during the activity.
