Physician Licensure Examination to proceed – IATF

DAVAO CITY — The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), in its 58th meeting held on July 23, 2020, approved the holding of the Physician Licensure Examination.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the examination, which is Part II of the testing activities for the March 2020 Physician Licensure Examination, is tentatively scheduled on September 20 and 21, 2020.

The conduct of the examination will be held under observance of the strict protocols set by the Department of Health.

The members of the IATF likewise approved the participation of the Philippines in the Gavi COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX) facility, including the corresponding allocation of funds.

In the same meeting, the IATF ratified the creation of a sub-Technical Working Group to study the possible amendments to the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 11332, or the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act.

The Department of Health will chair this sub-Technical Working Group, together with other members, which include the Department of Justice, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Philippine National Police, and the Metro Manila Development Authority. Newsline
