DAVAO DEL NORTE (August 18) — Provincial Prosecutor Norman Solis has equipped social workers to assist victims of abuse and ensure an accurate complaints process. The instruction took place on August 12 during the third quarter meeting of the Provincial Inter-Agency Committee Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (PIACAT VAWC) in the Bulwagan ng Karunungan, Provincial Capitol, Mankilam, Tagum City.

Solis stressed at the meeting the necessity of social workers following right procedures and not wasting their efforts to assist victims. The prosecutor hopes to guide each social worker in the appropriate route. Victims of abuse normally seek assistance from City/Municipal Social Workers.

“Let us boost our preventative efforts. We ensure that justice and fairness are served promptly. The victims deserve not only mercy, but also timely restitution and rehabilitation, and we should use this chance to assist them recover and reclaim their dignity as individuals,” says Vice Governor Clarice Jubahib.
