Pito ka OFW patay sa Kuwait

DAKBAYAN SA DABAW, Mindanao— Pito ka Overseas FIlipino Workers  (OFW) ang namatay sa nasud sa Kuwait, hinungdan nga gisuspenso sa Sekretaryo sa Department of Labor and Employment ang pagpadala ug mga trabahador sa maong nasud.

“Ang pagsuspenso, nagsugod gahapon, Enero 19, 2018, human naku gipirmahan ang kamanduan,” saysay ni Sekretaryo Silvestre Bello III.

Gipirmahan ni Bello said Administrative Order 25-2018  niadtong Biernes ug kini ipatuman na.

“Ang pagsuspenso temporaryo kay among imbistigahan ang tinoud nga hinungdan sa kamatayon sa pito ka OFW,” matud pa ni Bello sa pakighinabi kaniya sa Newsline.ph.

Gimando usab ni Bello sa Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) nga ihunong usa ang pag proseso sa  overseas employment certificates kon OEC sa mga trabahador nga didto paingon sa Kuwait.

Gi-ila ni Bello ang mga namatay nga OFW ngna sila Liezl Truz Hukdong, Vanessa Karissha L. Esguerra, Marie Fe Saliling Librada, Arlene Castillo Manzano, Devine Riche Encarnacion, Mira Luna Juntilla ug  Patrick Sunga.

“Ang mga aksidente nahitabo sukad Desyembre 2017 handtud Enero 2018,” dugang pa ni Bello.

“Makalibog ang rason sa ilang kamatayon, naa daw kunoy usa nga gi-abuso sa iyang amo, ang usa daw kuno naghikog, naa sab daw usa ka babaye nga gipatay sa iyang uyab, unya nagpakamatay sab daw ang lalaki pagkahuman, naglibog mi ug unsay tinoud, kinahanglan nga among sutaon ug unsay jud ang kamatuoran aning tanan,” matud pa ni Bello.

Kung mahibaw-an sa DOLE nga ang ang pag maltrato ug seksual nga pang abuso ang hinungdan sa ilang kamatayon “Ako dayon ipatuman ang kamanduan ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte, nga  dili na ta magpadala ug OFW didto sa Kuwait,” saysay ni  Bello.

Niadtong Huebes, Enero 18, gibutayg ni Duterte nga nagplano sya nga i-undang na ang pagpadala ug trabahador  sa Kuwait, labi na ang mga katabang sa panimalay tungod sa daghang kaso sa pag pangabuso sa kababayen-an.-Harold V. Pontongan/Newsline.ph
