DAVAO ORIENTAL – In a bid to bolster local farming in Davao Oriental, the Provincial Government distributed approximately 4.1 million pesos in agricultural support to farmers across the province.

According to reports, 815 farmers from various municipalities benefited from this assistance program.

The distribution effort was led by the Provincial Agriculture Office through the Improved Pagkain at Kita (Food and Income) Program.

The support package provided to beneficiaries included essential farming inputs such as vegetable seeds, hybrid white corn seeds, tilapia fingerlings, herbicides, and fertilizers.

Farmers also received agricultural tools like garden bolos, plastic water sprinklers, and mono nylon lines to help enhance production and income in the farming communities.
