PWD, companion injured in road mishap

DAVAO CITY â€“ Nazareno Maniwang was in a wheelchair while his companion Vicente Lubiano was pushing their way along the roadside when a passenger jitney suddenly rammed on them along Dacudao Buhangin Flyover, Davao City at 1:15 p.m., on Friday.

Due to the impact, the two fell to the ground and sustained bruises and minor cuts on their bodies.

Christian Louie Villacorta, the 31-year-old driver of the Suzuki Jitney said he did not notice the two victims since he was focused on soliciting passengers in the area.

Bajada Police precinct immediately called the medical team from nearby Barangay 19-B and first aid treatment was provided but were sent to the hospital for proper treatment.

Bajada Police Station 18 temporarily detained the driver of the passenger car.
