MAKILALA, North Cotabato —During calamities, persons with disabilities (PWDs) ran for their lives as everyone does.

Their safety is less given priority, it is always one’s survival.

This how Teresita Suerte-Poria described her condition and the 106 others when the series of earthquake hit their town.

Poria is the president of women with disability of the municipality.

Her limitation is not stopping her to visit evacuation centers to make sure every member is settled. .

“Kaming mga PWD kami jud pirmi mabilin basta naay calamity, run for your life jud,” she quipped as she smiled.-ezc/NewsLine.ph
