Quiboloy will face criminal charges if Marcos guarantees that US won’t intervene

April 6, 2024 by Editha Z. Caduaya

DAVAO CITY –Fugitive preacher Apollo Quiboloy is willing to face charges  filed against him in the Philippines but wants Presidente Ferdinand Marcos to guarantee that the United States will not interfere in his legal battle.

“Bigyan ninyo ako ng garantiya na hindi mangingialam ang mga puti sa kasong ito sa Pilipinas. Hindi mangingialam ang FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation), ang CIA (Central Intelligence Agency), ang US Embassy,” Quiboloy  emphasized in a 33-minute recorded voice statement reported by SMNI News.

(Give me a guarantee that the Americans will not intervene in this case in the Philippines. That the FBI, and the CIA, the US Embassy will not intervene).

Quiboloy  wanted  Marcos “Bigyan ako ng garantiya ng Presidente ng Pilipinas. Bigyan ako ng garantiya ng secretary of Department of Justice, [Crispin] Boying Remulla. Written po ‘yan ha, written… na hindi mangingialam ang Amerikano at walang mangyayaring extraordinary rendition. Ako po ay lilitaw at haharapin ko ang lahat ng kasong iyan kahit saan ninyo dalhin dito sa Pilipinas.”

(Give me the  guarantee of the President of the Philippines. Give me the guarantee of Secretary the Department of Justice, (Crispin Boying Remulla. That must be a written order…that the US will not meddle and no extraordinary rendition. I will surface and face all the cases wherever in the Philippines).

He accused the US and the Philippines of working together against him.

Quiboloy said he never expected that the situation will reach this point “Na ang mismong uusig sa akin ay ang aking sariling bansang Pilipinas”,

He even described the case as a very simple case.

The cases in the United States,  Quiboloy claimed,  were all fabricated by his former members who have vested interest against him.

“Ako po ay hindi nagtatago sa kasong ito dahil ako po ay may kasalanan, hindi po. Ako po ay umiiwas dahil pinoprotektahan ko po ang aking sarili.”

(I am not hiding in these cases because I am guilty, it’s not. I am avoiding it because I need to protect myself).

He again accused Senator Risa Hontiveros of scenario building against him.

“Dapat malaman ninyo na itong kaso kong ito, complicated sapagkat dalawang bansa ang nagkasabwat. Bansang puti at bansang Pilipino ang nagsabwatan para ako’y damputin. At ang endgame ay extraordinary rendition, which may be kidnapping and which may be assassination,”

(“You should know that this case of mine is complicated because two countries conspired. The white nation and the Filipino nation conspired to arrest me. And the end game is an extraordinary rendition, which may be kidnapping and which may be assassination).

Die with honor

Quiboloy said he would rather kill himself with honor than get caught.

“Ako po, pag nahuli ninyo, hindi ako magpapahuli ng buhay. Barilin na lang ninyo ako,” he said.

(Me, If you catch me, you won’t catch me alive,  I will kill myself).

Quiboloy turned emotional when he vowed “Tandaan po ninyo: Ako’y mamamatay with honor. Tatayo ako para sa mga ginipit, kinunan ng katarungan, kinunan ng hustisya sa bansang ito. Dito tutulo ang aking dugo. Dito ako mamamatay. Bahala na, basta Pilipino ang papatay sa akin. OK sa akin iyon,”

(Remember this:  I will die with honor. I will stand for the oppressed, those deprived of justice, and those deprived of fairness in this country. Here, I will drop my blood. I will die here, Let it be,  If a Filipino will kill me. That’s OK with me).

Two more members of KJC surrender this morning, Quiboloy “might” surrender, says NBI

On Thursday, authorities have served the arrest warrants issued by regional Trials Court Judge Dante Baguio against Quiboloy and five others.over charges of child abuse.

Four of the co-accused namely Ingrid Canada, Jackiely Roy, Paulene Canada, Sylvia Calija Cemañez turned themselves over to authorities, while another, Cresente Canada, was arrested by NBI agents. All five have posted bail but Quiboloy remains at-large.
