Radioman’s family wants justice over his death

DAVAO CITY — The family of the slain broadcaster Juan Jumalon known as Johny Walker wants the government to investigate his killers as they cry justice over his untimely death in the hands of the still unidentified perpetrators.

His bereaved wife, Chereblel Jumalon in an interview with reporters Sunday said “I seek justice for the death of my husband “Johnny Walker,: But said he entrust to God and teh authorities in their quest for justice.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) have joined the investigation into the murder of broadcaster Juan Jumalon in Calamba, Misamis Occidental.

,Jumalon’s son Stephen said “Ang ako lang gihangyo uban sa presensya sa Ginoo, nga ang ang akong amahan tagaan siya ug hustisya kay gikuha sa laing tawo ang iyang kinabuhi, hinaut nga tabangan mi sa Ginoo nga mahatagn mi og justice ( My only appeal in the presence of God, that my father will be given justice because his life was taken by other people, hope that God will help us to get justice)”.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., has condemed the killing of Jumalon and has ordered teh PHilippine National Police to investigate the killing.

The PNP has created Special Investigation task Group Jumalon to dig deeper into his death and unmask the perpetrators.

On Monday, November 6, the PNP released the computerized composite sketch of one of the suspects, PNO CHief Brig.Gen Benjamin Acorda said the sketch represented the lookout of the gunman.

Based on the sketch, the suspect must be older that 40 years old.
